It’s hard to believe the school year is quickly coming to an end, and testing season is just around the corner. Please take a moment to review the May calendar below. During this time, it’s especially important that students get plenty of rest and eat a healthy breakfast on testing days. We also ask that families help ensure students are staying on top of any scheduled tutoring sessions once they are posted. Thank you for your continued support.

The finish line is closer than it feels—keep showing up, keep giving your best, and you’ll be proud of the strength you found along the way.

Every Monday is Early Release. Students will be released at 3:30 pm.

Dear Parents and Students of Woodrow Wilson Middle School,

We are pleased to invite you to our annual Watershed Celebration Event, which will take place on April 23rd from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Wilson Middle School.

As students in Mr. Comellas’s Agriculture Communications and Aquaculture classes, we have been learning about watersheds, environmental sustainability, and the importance of protecting our local waterways and Tampa Bay. This event is an opportunity for us to share what we have learned and showcase the projects we have been working on throughout the year.

During the celebration, guests will have the opportunity to:

• Participate in fun, hands-on learning experiences
• Meet community leaders and guest speakers in agriculture and environmental science
• Learn from students about oyster restoration, including Vertical Oyster Gardens (VOGs) and reef ball projects
• Explore aquaculture systems and water quality testing practices
• Enjoy food trucks, refreshments, games, and interactive activities
• Enter raffles for a chance to win a Vertical Oyster Garden
• View student projects focused on sustainability and ecosystem health
• Enjoy live elements, including Mr. C’s sustainability songs

This event not only celebrates student learning but also highlights the importance of protecting our environment and preserving our waters for future generations. Your attendance would mean a great deal to us and show your support for our programs and efforts.

There is no cost to attend. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase from food trucks. We will also be accepting donations to support the Wilson Middle School Estuary Project.

• For the safety of our students, all visitors are required to show photo ID and sign in at our attendance office. A Visitor Pass will be issued. Parents are required to make an appointment in advance to speak/conference with any staff member.
• Photo ID Required: If it becomes necessary to sign your child out of school prior to dismissal, an adult must come to the attendance office prior to 4:00 p.m. PHOTO I.D. IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ADULTS SIGNING A CHILD OUT OF SCHOOL. Only adults listed on the student emergency card will be permitted to sign a student out of school. Please do not ask permission for someone to sign your child out early unless they are on the emergency card. Please also do not ask to add someone to your student's emergency card the day of the need for the sign-out. The district is only allowing two emergency contacts so if you want to add someone, someone will need to come off.
• No outside food or drinks are allowed on campus except for lunches and water. This includes morning coffee and energy drinks.
