SUBJECT: WWMS Bulldog Bark: February 2026

February 2026
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Wilson families,

Thank you all for the kind words and well wishes. Accepting this new role in the district was a very difficult decision mainly because I will not be working with the kids every day and the fact that I'm leaving my Wilson family. I have spent the last eight years here which is the longest I have remained at one school in my 31 years of service.

Thank you all for helping make Woodrow Wilson Middle School the best middle school in Hillsborough County.

Warm regards,
Keith Fantauzzo
Principal, Woodrow Wilson Middle School

BLUE STAR INCENTIVE PROGRAM

Blue stars are redeemed every Friday during lunch for snacks and prizes! (Ask your students how blue stars are earned)

TISSUE TUESDAY

It's that time of year and we are short on tissues. PTSA has initiated a tissue donation drive for our teachers and staff.

Please bring a box or more as you drop your student off in the car line or stop by the main lobby and drop some boxes there! Any amount helps.

Tissue Tuesday will be each Tuesday in February! Thank you in advance!

INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY

On February 21, we celebrate International Mother Language Day, a global observance established by UNESCO to honor linguistic diversity and promote the protection of all languages. This day reminds us of the importance of every student’s home language and how it enriches our school community. We encourage students and families to share words, phrases, stories, or traditions from their mother languages. Together, we celebrate the beauty of multilingualism and the cultural heritage that each learner brings to our classrooms.

ODDS AND ENDS
  • For the safety of our students, all visitors are required to show photo ID and sign in at our attendance office. A Visitor Pass will be issued. Parents are required to make an appointment in advance to speak/conference with any staff member.
  • Photo ID Required: If it becomes necessary to sign your child out of school prior to dismissal, an adult must come to the attendance office prior to 4:00 p.m. PHOTO I.D. IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ADULTS SIGNING A CHILD OUT OF SCHOOL. Only adults listed on the student emergency card will be permitted to sign a student out of school. Please do not ask permission for someone to sign your child out early unless they are on the emergency card. Please also do not ask to add someone to your student's emergency card the day of the need for the sign-out. The district is only allowing two emergency contacts so if you want to add someone, someone will need to come off.
